The International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) has approved the proposal from the Brazilian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq) to host the 23rd IUBMB Congress in Brazil at the city of Foz do Igua u on August 24th to 28th, 2015, as a joint meeting with the 44th Annual Meeting of SBBq. The IUBMB Congress completes the triad of worldwide events taking place in Brazil on the next years, which includes the Soccer World Cup (2014) and The Olympic Games (2016).
